College of Life Sciences and Bioengineering

College of Life Sciences and Bioengineering was established in 2012, taking advantage of its location in Songdo International City, a bio-industrial hub with an advanced biotechnology complex. There are currently 2 Divisions and 4 Majors offered; the Division of Life Sciences (Life Science Major, Molecular Biology Major), and the Division of Bioengineering (Bioengineering Major, Nano-Bioengineering Major)

Introduction

The importance of the bio-industry is being emphasized to respond to various issues facing society, such as the global pandemic, the aging population, incurable diseases, and environmental issues. The bio-industry, the next national growth engine, prepares for the future by developing advanced technologies and materials such as biomedicine to respond to the challenges. College of Life Sciences and Bioengineering has established a specialized bio-education and research system to foster talented professionals to fulfill a pivotal role in the national bio-industry.
